Gospel Way Baptist Church

Formerly Smith Memorial Baptist Church, this historic facility has evolved through multiple expansions since 1958. The latest phase enhances functionality for a growing congregation while respecting the church’s architectural heritage. A new 21,000 sf children’s ministry wing provides expanded classrooms and meeting spaces, connected via a vertical circulation core and new elevator to the second-floor Family Life Center.The project also added a 15,750 sf full-size gymnasium to support ministry and community activities, complemented by modern classrooms and office spaces. The design carefully blends contemporary forms and materials with the original building’s traditional character, updating the campus visually and functionally while reinforcing the church’s mission to serve all generations in a welcoming, purpose-built environment.
