Barnes Design Group, P.C. is a firm with a mission. The company has grown into an organization that understands the unique challenges of the local church.
In the context of religious architecture, the church architect must be intimately involved in the complete understanding of the pastor’s God-given vision. The church architect’s major role is in the capturing of this vision and in the communication of such vision back to the congregation.
Through the process, the architect is often challenged by the need of working with the pastor, his staff, a building committee and other various groups of leadership teams. He must solve their building and ministry needs while binding all the various interests into a unified team.
Counting The Cost
Barnes Design Group, P.C. has extensive experience in preparing designs that meet the client’s functional needs while maintaining established budgetary guidelines. We use a process called “partnering”. This is utilized on over 85% of our projects. This partnering process helps to establish early cost parameters and financial accountability.
We believe part of our mission is to correctly identify—and be accountable to— the construction costs early in the building program. We understand responsibility for accurately counting the cost before we build, not after the construction drawings are completed.
